The possibility of this exhibit was made from the unyielding creativity and the resilience of the graduating students to continue working on their theses within the course of a challenging year. The quarantine had a major influence on the outcome of their works: access to large spaces, production materials, and even research material became limited, if not impossible; not to mention the impact that it had on the students’ mental, emotional, and physical health. Yet even with the quarantine restrictions brought about by an unforgiving pandemic, the graduates of the UPCFA’s Department of Studio Arts programs still were able to extend the boundaries of Painting and Sculpture as practices.

This exhibit features the works of the Studio Arts graduates, from batch 2020 and 2021 who finished this year. Each thesis is a product of the students’ unique interests in art. They present the artists’ stories, their concerns, thoughts about the world and about art.
