Angelou Amboy’s thesis depicts the association between sexuality and underwear while also portraying the body through the use of bras in the form of patchwork. It demonstrates the metonymy of the materials used and its connotation as something to hide and conceal. Through the process of patchwork making, it concretized the identities and collective experience of women who owned the donated undergarments.
